What if we lost all power, transportation or access to food and water for a day, a week or even a month. Would you have sufficient supplies? It is always best to be prepared and take inventory of what you have and what you are missing should the need arise…

Basic Emergency Kit Checklist:

 

  • Water – 1 Gallon (4 litres) per person, per day for a minimum of 3 days.
  • Food – Canned foods, Energy bars, Dried foods, replace once a year.
  • Manual Can Opener
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Radio and extra batteries
  • Solar power backpack – for charging a cell phone
  • First Aid Kit
  • Spare keys for House and Car
  • Cash – small bills and coins
  • Important family documents

Additional Items to add:

 

  • Candles and Matches
  • Sleeping bag and blankets
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Toiletries
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toilet paper
  • Prescription medication
  • Special need items for infants or medical issues
  • Water purifying tablets
