California Adventure has many unique shows and parades that are a must to see. Check your Entertainment Times Guide accompanying your park map for exact show times and locations, as the showings and times change throughout the year.
- Red Car Trolley News Boys, Carthay Circle, Buena Vista Street. Mickey Mouse and a gang of Red Car News Boys inspired by the Broadway musical Newsies.
- Citizens of Buena Vista Street, Carthay Circle, Buena Vista Street. Have some fun talking to characters from the 20’s.
- Five & Dime, Carthay Circle, Buena Vista Street. Hear the sounds of a great jazz ensemble.
- Disney Junior Live on Stage, Hollywood Land. Great, elaborate Disney character puppets with entertaining audience participation. A great place to visit if you have young children.
- A Frozen Sing Along, Crown Jewel Theatre, Hollywood Land.
- Aladdin A Musical Spectacular, Hyperion Theatre, Hollywood Land. Terrific Broadway styled show in this beautiful air-conditioned theatre.
- It’s tough to be a Bug, Bugs Land. A great 3D film and live action show featuring Flik.
- DJ’s Dance ‘n’ Drive, Route 66, Cars Land. The ultimate party car hosting an oldies dance party.
- Mariachi Divas, Pacific Wharf. Relaxing music to listen to while you stop to relax, if you are lucky you might hear their rendition of it’s a small world.
- Operation Playtime, the Green Army Men, Paradise Pier. Parade route, the green Army Men are looking for recruits who stop periodically to train guests and exhibit their percussion skills.
- Paradise Garden Bandstand, Paradise Gardens, Paradise Pier. Live bands to enjoy while you have lunch.
- Wilderness Explorer Ceremony, Redwood Creek Challenge, Grizzly Peak. Take part in a ceremony to earn your Senior Wilderness Explorer badge.
- The Happy Camper, Grizzly Peak. Join the happy camper in this sing along of some old time favorite campfire songs.
- Disney Pixar Pre Parade Inside Out. Parade Route, featuring the characters from Disney Pixar’s new film Inside Out.
- Pixar Play Parade, Parade Route. This is such a fun parade featuring your favorite Disney Pixar charcters.
- Sh-Boom, Cars Land. Nightly lighting of Cars Land, shortly after sunset everyday. This is when all the neon lights are turned on for the day which is set to the song Sh-Boom by the Chords. Cars Land really does look great at night.
- Diamond Mad T Party, Hollywood Land. A nightly light rock and pop live music and DJ show in the Back lot area.
- World of Color, Paradise Pier. Inspired by Walt Disney’s Television show “the Wonderful World of Color.” World of Color was created as somewhat of a live version of “Fantasia.” With water streams reaching as high as 200 feet, glowing lights, music, pyrotechnics and Disney film clips projected onto the mist. The result is an incredible show. Expect to get a little wet, it is worth it! Grab your Fast Passes first thing in the morning when the park opens. Fast Pass distribution is beside the Grizzly Run entrance. VIP seating is available with the purchase of a dining package from Ariel’s Grotto, Carthay Circle or Wine Country Trattoria.
