We have been to many zoo’s and this one likely has the largest variety of species we have seen anywhere with approximately 3700 animals, you might need a whole day to see them all…

Make sure to see the giant panda, orangutans, gorillas, giant tortoises and the komodo dragon just to name a few…Plan a trip for summer 2017 when the new African exhibit opens which will add eight new acres of African species to the park. This year the San Diego zoo is celebrating it’s 100th birthday 1916-2016. While in the park make sure you ride the Skyfari as well as take a tour around the whole park in one of the double decker busses.  These entertaining rides are both included in the price of the entry ticket and also give your sore feet a needed break!
