I am not sure they deserve a national day considering they sleep 23 hours a day…

They do magically wake up to bark at the sound of a pin dropping outside regardless of the hour of the day.  Of all the breed of dogs, I have had throughout my life, the bulldog seems to think they are a person.  If lazy was to be recognized with an award these two would surely win…‪
