California Adventure has a number of great restaurants that are worth stopping at for lunch or dinner. A few that are on our Must Do List include Carthay Circle, Ariel’s Grotto and Paradise Garden Grill…
- Mortimers Market, Buena Vista Street. This grab and go location offers cold drinks, snacks and fresh fruit. Named after Walt’s original choice of name for his famous animated mouse.
- Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café, Buena Vista Street. Enjoy a fantastic bacon and gouda breakfast sandwich with your favorite Starbucks beverage.
- Carthay Circle Restaurant, Buena Vista Street. Fire cracker Duck Wings served in a soy lime sriracha chile sauce, a must try!
- Award Wieners, Hollywood Land. Walk up counter, serving gourmet hot dogs. Go for the Chili Cheese Dog, it is awesome! A great vegetarian option is available, the Portobello mushroom philly.
- Fairfax Market, Hollywood Land. Healthy options of fruit, hummus with veggies and trail mix.
- Fillmore’s Taste-In, Cars Land. Walk up counter with healthy options of fruit and veggies, try the pineapple spear.
- Flo’s V8 Café, Cars Land. Excellent 50’s themed diner, this is the place to stop for a Milkshake! Also, try the pork loin with coca cola BBQ sauce, it is excellent. And for breakfast, try the Brioche French Toast.
- Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, Pacific Wharf. A walk up counter, try the fajita salad or chicken tamales.
- Lucky Fortune Cookery, Pacific Wharf. A walk up counter, excellent beef teriyaki with steamed rice and vegetables.
- Pacific Wharf Café, Pacific Wharf. Clam Chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. The chowder is delicious and the fresh sourdough is amazing. It is so fresh, you can actually watch them make it before your eyes. After a short tour of the bakery, they offer a free sample of sourdough bread.
- Ariel’s Grotto, Paradise Pier. If you have kids who love Princesses, this is a must do as this is the only all Princess character meal at Disneyland Resort. Ariel meets everyone as they come into the foyer. All the other princesses are announced one by one as they come into the dining area, Snow White, Aurora, Belle and Cinderella. The warm bread and Tri Tip are my favorites.
- Cove Bar, Paradise Pier. One of my favorite spots to eat and drink, the prices are reasonable and the Lobster Nachos are incredible.
- Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Paradise Pier. Excellent pizzas, pastas and salads, try the Portobello mushroom and spinach flatbread.
- Paradise Garden Grill, Paradise Pier. Mediterranean skewers are fantastic, the lemon oregano chicken is one of my favorites. The prices are very reasonable, you will never find a long line up and the food is really, really good. You will often find live bands perform here as well.
- Corn Dog Castle, Paradise Pier. Fantastic Corn dogs, a Disney vacation would not be complete without enjoying one of these famous Corn Dogs, they are delicious.
- Smokejumpers Grill, Grizzly Peak. Walk up counter with great burgers and chicken sandwiches. The best part of the experience is the toppings bar, where you can add as much lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sliced pickle as you want, I love this!
