We love relaxing in Downtown Disney the day before or the day after we have used our park hopper ticket. With so many great dining options we always like to make time to stop at a few of our personal favorites. The restaurant portions in general are large, so we often share meals to save room for dessert. If you only have time for one great meal in Downtown Disney, make sure you don’t miss the ESPN zone.
- Rainforest Café, great food with a fun atmosphere. Enjoy a meal in a jungle complete with animals, waterfalls and safari sounds. A terrific place for kids who love animals. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Downtown Disney. Try the Rainforest burger or the Macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi.
- ESPN Zone, Great food and if you are trying to keep tabs on your favorite sports team, they will likely be playing on one of the many TV’s. The ESPN Zone is another one of our favorite places to eat with huge portions, reasonable prices and a great selection of food. Salads, wraps and great burgers.
- Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Another great place to have dinner as well as enjoy a jazz band perform. Enjoy great New Orleans favorites like the Jambalaya or Gumbo they are fantastic.
- La Brea Bakery Cafe, Enjoy the fresh smell of bread baking at this fantastic bakery with a great menu. Fantastic Brioche French toast for breakfast and a wide selection for lunch and dinner make sure to try the bread.
- House of Blues, Check out who is performing during your visit, sometimes you will find big name acts perform here, it is worth checking out in advance. They have a great Cajun menu, try the Cajun chicken pasta or the blackened shrimp salad, they are awesome!
- Tortilla Jo’s, extensive tequila selection and the sounds of a Mariachi Band while you enjoy authentic Mexican dishes, try the Fajitas and save room for the Coconut Rum Flan.
- Naples Ristorante Pizzeria, Italian restaurant with excellent wood fired pizza and pasta dishes.
- Catal Restaurant, Mediterranean inspired menu, they have awesome salads and short ribs.
- UVA Bar and Café, Outdoor seating, Mediterranean and Tapas, great appetizers and a fully stocked bar try the Mojito.
- Earl of Sandwich, Enjoy an incredible tasting sandwich, try the chipotle chicken avocado it is amazing.
